Questions couples ask us
Where can you get married at Stonebridge Golf Club?
Stonebridge lists three on-site ceremony options: an outdoor lawn, its permanent tent and the banquet room. The outdoor spaces are available from April to November.
How many guests does Stonebridge hold for a wedding?
The venue's weddings page says the banquet room holds up to 210 guests, and its homepage says up to 200. Confirm the number for your layout with the venue's event coordinator.
Does Stonebridge host more than one wedding a night?
No. Stonebridge says it books only one wedding per evening, so the clubhouse, tent and patio are yours for the night.
How long is a reception at Stonebridge?
The venue's current wedding guide lists a six-hour room rental with six hours of open bar. Ask the venue when that window starts so your music plan fits inside it.

Our full guide to Stonebridge Golf Club
Stonebridge Golf Club is on Clubhouse Drive on the south side of Ann Arbor, an 18-hole public course with water features and a clubhouse that hosts weddings. Couples get a lawn for the ceremony, a permanent tent and patio for warmer months, and a banquet room with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Menzo Weddings provides wedding DJ and MC services at Stonebridge and across Ann Arbor, with live ceremony and cocktail-hour music to add. Dave Menzo, who founded Menzo Weddings, was the DJ for Kelly and Shannon's wedding here in the fall of 2022. Their night ended with a sparkler send-off, and the photograph at the top of this page is that moment. This page covers the venue, their wedding, and how we approach music for a golf-club wedding that moves from the lawn to the tent to the banquet room.
What is Stonebridge Golf Club like for a wedding?
The course was designed by Arthur Hills in 1991 and covers 178 acres. It's a public course, with no memberships, and it's owned by Wilson Golf Group. The venue lists recognition from The Knot and WeddingWire in their couples' awards.
Stonebridge's wedding pages describe:
- The lawn: an outdoor ceremony site.
- The permanent tent and tented patio: outdoor spaces available from April to November, with an outdoor tiki bar as an add-on.
- The banquet room: floor-to-ceiling windows, an indoor bar, and room for about 200 guests.
- Bridal and groom's suites: included in the wedding packages.
The lawn, the tent and the banquet room can each host the ceremony. Stonebridge books only one wedding per evening, and its packages include a six-hour room rental with food and drink handled in-house. See Stonebridge's website for the current wedding guide.
Kelly and Shannon's wedding at Stonebridge
Dave was the DJ for Kelly and Shannon's reception at Stonebridge in October 2022. At the end of the night their guests lined up with sparklers, and the two of them walked out through the tunnel.
Ceremony music at Stonebridge: lawn, tent or banquet room
Having three ceremony options at one venue means the music has to be ready for any of them. On the lawn, sound carries away into open air, so our approach is to amplify even acoustic guitar and vocals lightly, enough that guests at the back hear the vows. Under a tent, the roof holds the sound in a little more, and the music can sit softer. In the banquet room, everything is closer and the processional can be timed to the exact length of the aisle.
If you'd like to decide on the day based on the weather, plan your songs once and let them move with you. Live ceremony music is an add-on to your DJ and MC booking. See live ceremony music.
Cocktail hour on the patio
A tented patio with a bar is a good home for a live acoustic set while you take photographs. It gives guests something to gather around without competing with conversation. See cocktail hour music.
Wedding DJ and MC in the banquet room
A banquet room with floor-to-ceiling windows is lovely at dinner, when it's still light outside, and becomes a dance floor once it's dark. Our approach is to let dinner breathe with quieter music, then build steadily after the first dance so the floor fills and stays full. As your MC, we announce the entrances, toasts, the cake and the last dance. See wedding DJ and MC, or add DJ plus live music for live drums, guitar, sax or violin on top of the DJ set.
A six-hour window goes quickly once dinner, toasts and first dances are in. Planning the night with your DJ and MC ahead of time keeps every moment on schedule and leaves room for dancing.
How do you plan a sparkler send-off?
A sparkler exit is one of the best ways to end a night, and one of the easiest to rush. The last song matters: it should be one everyone knows, so the energy carries guests outside rather than leaving them looking for their coats. Our approach is to time the last dance with your coordinator and photographer, announce the send-off clearly so guests have time to line up and light their sparklers, and keep music playing as you walk out. Check the venue's rules on sparklers before you buy them.
Planning a fall wedding in Ann Arbor
Kelly and Shannon married in October, one of the loveliest times of year in Ann Arbor, and one of the busiest. On University of Michigan home-game Saturdays the city fills up: roads around the stadium slow down, and hotel rooms go fast. Stonebridge is on the south side of town, but your guests may still be driving through or staying near campus.
If your date falls in football season, check the Michigan schedule before you send invitations, book your hotel block early, and give guests a little extra time before cocktail hour. A few things to ask the venue before you plan the music: which ceremony site you're using and when the weather call gets made, when the six-hour window starts, and whether sparklers are allowed and where the send-off can happen.
